The Phonics courses are our flagship courses and aimed at introducing the child to the synthetic phonics experience. The foundation course (Phonics-I) starts with introducing the 42 letter sounds as prescribed in the Jolly Phonics teaching methodology. The advanced course (Phonics-II) builds on the initial sounds and introduces more complex sounds which are a combination of more than one sound.
Phonics-I Course ( 3.5 to 5 years )
The Phonics-I course corresponds to the first stage in the Jolly Phonics methodology. This course is the first step for the child to understand the sounds of the English alphabet, and to learn how to read simple words and form short sentences. The course includes developing correct writing skills through adequate practice both in the class and at home. This course is spread over a period of ten months (June to March), which gives the child a gradual and systematic learning experience. Providing adequate time to the child is very important as this course is the foundation of how fluently the child reads and writes while growing. The Phonics-I course is for children of ages 3.5 – 5 years.
Phonics-II Course ( 5 to 7 years )
